Thomas M. Kiefer, DMD

Thomas Kiefer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1983 after earning his biology of science degree from Syracuse University in 1979. Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Kiefer has regularly taken courses to remain current with the newest dental technologies. He has received extensive training in implantology, as well as advanced training in the Ögram Oral Surgery system. Dr. Kiefer has proudly practiced dentistry in our community for ten years, and he is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Florida Dental Association (FDA), and International Team for Implantology (ITI). Dr. Kiefer strives to educate his patients and to help them repair and maintain their smiles. He is also committed to educating patients on how to maintain dental health for the rest of their lives. Dr. Kiefer has practiced dentistry in the Northeastern United States (in two locations), in the military (as part of the US Air Force at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida), and for a corporate dental company (in Stuart, Florida). He believes that his exposure to a variety of geographical areas and different work areas have made him feel confident that he wants to stay in Marathon for years to come. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Kiefer enjoys sailing, spearfishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, boating, gardening, cooking, and travelling.

Brook Patterson, DMD

Brook Patterson was born and raised in Winter Haven, Fl and has recently moved to the Florida Keys and joined our practice. While attending the University of Central Florida, Dr. Patterson sparked an interest in dentistry and began the pursuit of his career. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree, he moved to Louisville, KY to fulfill his dental training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Graduating amongst the top of his class, Dr. Patterson strives to provide the best quality of care to his patients that they can obtain. In his free time, he can be found somewhere on the water hanging out with his fiancée and listening to some good reggae music.


Registered Dental Hygienist

Lindsey Graduated from Coral Shores High School and went onto earned her Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene from Hillsborough Community College, graduating with honors in 2014. She enjoys the fun environment of the office and loves working with her fellow team members. Lindsey takes pride in helping patients maintain their oral health and enjoys providing preventive, therapeutic and educational services to our wonderful patients. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their daughter.


Dental Assistant

Fe is Dr. Kiefer’s wife. She is originally from the Philippines and moved to Marathon in 2014. She graduated 2009 with her associate degree of Medical-Dental-Nursing assisting from the Negros Oriental State University in Dumaguete City, Philippines. Fe is a great cook and loves gardening and travel. Fe and Dr. Kiefer brought a beautiful girl to this world on January 31, 2019 and are expecting their second child in 2023.


Dental Assistant

Lauren was born and raised in New Jersey, then she took off to Colorado College for undergrad. After that she went to Pratt Institute for her master’s degree for her arts Degree. Lauren moved to the Keys 6 years ago. She is outgoing and loves being outside with her baby and loves her new career as a dental assistant.


Front Office Manager

Grace moved from her hometown in Pennsylvania and now resides in the Florida Keys. She is proud to call Marathon and Dr. Kiefer’s dental practice her new home. Grace has been working in the dental field since 2010. Her current role is that of front office manager. She loves interacting with patients and making the dental experience at our office as great as possible. Our patients and staff enjoy her positive personality and radiant smile. Grace enjoys spending time with family and friends fishing, scuba diving and everything boating has to offer.


Dental Assistant

Lisa is originally from the United Kingdom. She relocated to Marathon in 2022. She graduated in 2016 with her bachelor’s degree in dental assisting with High Honors in Jacksonville. For the past six years Lisa had been an integral part of a dental team in Ormond Beach before joining the team in Marathon. She is certified in General Chair side Assisting, Radiation Health and Safety, and Infection Control. Lisa loves to make her patients feel comfortable and confident in the care she is providing during dental treatment. She resides in Marathon with her husband, Steve, their three dogs. Lisa loves spending time with her family and friends, paddle boarding, dining out, and traveling.
